It's alarming how fast humans are wiping out sharks (for a lone dorsal fin)

when they may hold the key to cancer prevention. They have no cancer and do

have extremely large livers for their size. They also have cartilage

instead of bones.

I feel eating in a way that does not waste our planet's resources is the

best reason of all for a vegan raw food lifestyle.

I agree. One point: sharks do not hold the key to cancer, people do. I am

mentioning this, because I so want to encourage people to let go of

medical-model thinking. When we hear ourselves say that some animal or

nutrient or object holds the key to " curing " some disease, we have almost

automatically bought into:

- that there is such a disease

- that one can " have " that disease

- that the disease can be " cured "

- that the cure arises " out there somewhere "

We have been so programmed with these and similar assumptions, we slip into

them habitually. I'm encouraging everyone to become much more mindful, much

more careful in choosing our words and the thoughts and beliefs behind them.

Cancer is not " normal " for any species on earth, not even the one

" civilized " species. The moment we begin putting healthy material into a

cancerous body, that body begins to clean out the cancer. No " treatments " or

" therapies " are needed.

It's sort of like making a high-quality car. I remember during the 1980s,

when Japanese car companies were almost destroying American car companies in

the American marketplace, Ford actually formed a team of engineers to

reverse-engineer some Japanese cars and " prove " they were no better. The

resulting report, apparently more than a foot thick, listed all the ways in

which the Japanese cars WERE, in fact, superior. Ford execs were

dumb-founded and responded with a wonderful marketing slogan, " At Ford,

quality is Job One. " Whether Ford's cars ever rose to the level of the

slogan, I do not know, I have never owned a Ford.

But the point seems clear: put the very best ingredients together in mindful

ways, and you get desirable outcomes. Do anything else, and you get some

outcome other than the one you desire.

Best to all,

Elchanan
