I want to thank Elchanon for acknowledging my joining the group :)

Laurie had already fwd me a number of articals posted on here; I am

thankful that you are " right there " with your values Elchanon! I

really enjoyed your thorough replies;

I have a passion for the study of Metaphysics; My favorite author

being Joel Goldsmith. My Spiritual Nature has 'come' alive these past

few years and more recently I have noticed how my mind was stuck

in " knowledge " , which has simply brought about confusion!

I just wanted to throw in a simple question;

I am over here in U.K, having had also a rather long break from a

100% rawfood diet. Currently I am 'sitting' in an " acid bath " and

preparing for a fast in approx 1 month's time.

I am a sensitive individual with an exascerbated gut issue (which I

am not intending to touch on here)I really dont get on that well with

english fruit (or just england really!)

I tend to live by oranges in the winter and peaches by summer. We

rarely see a mango worth eating (I eat 100% organic which limits

variety even further)and quite frankly the fruit season begins in

July and ends in September (and you still rarely see a mango!)

Now, in preperation for this fast and whilst awaiting my beloved

peaches; I have taken to the bananas as Laurie suggested. I can eat

near mono on these, with a salad and cukes' thrown in each day.

I generally chose my food intuitively. Sometimes there is confusion

however, when one is faced with nothing intuitive to eat owing to

lack of variety!

I picked up some French Strawberries - with a need to eat somewhat

sparingly (also really expensive for my budget)

Only a few pears cause I am " sick " of them.

Grapes - something I never eat esp' if they have seeds in them - But

actually they looked about the nicest option.

Some apples - I can do 1 a day max without feeling colic.

Some tomatoes - also need to eat moderately.

A red pepper.

Celery - I am inclined to make green juice on times, or eat celery

most days around sweet fruit

Cucumbers - i eat these every day.

And plenty of greens - I crave the dark kind.

Then there were these kiwis that were actually ripe for a change.

I would'nt really bother eating pears, kiwis, grapes and less

frequently an apple if I lived where tropical fruits were available.

I'm having difficulty deciding whether I picked up these kiwis out of

intuition of not? - and now I have confused myself into almost fear

of them!

I am focusing on alkalizing my body - it certainly needs a big input.

Would you imagine that kiwis are not such a good choice? I was

definitely drawned to the strawberries, but I tend to only eat 4-6 at

a time and rarely on the same day as tomatoes. I am not intending to

eat kiwis in large amounts and would only desire 1-2 as a meal in any

event

What do you think would be the best alkalizing choices for me at this

time - out of the given selection?

Thanx

Love in Flow

Kay

I think that Kay in England brings up an interesting question regarding this

diet--

how are folks supposed to live primarily on fruit in climates such as this where

the selection of fruit is naturally pretty limited?

This does not seem to be a natural way to eat in this climate & one is forced to

buy expensive produce that is shipped in from far away . . .

any thoughts?

how do folks eat this way in places like Alaska?!
