Guest guest
Hi Lane, Glad you are enjoying the VitaMix now. You just have to get use to it's power. I traded in my 4000 for a new 5000, and I just find I couldn't live without it. One thing I do for variety is when I make my smoothies, I drink the first glass with just the fruit, then I add greens to my second glass and according to the sweetness of the first (all fruit) I can adjust the flavors. I use to add nuts and seeds to my smoothies too, but I find out that I do so much better without them. It's like Doug Graham said that we shouldn't eat fats and sugars together because it prevents the sugar (glucose) from being assimilated into the cells. Speaking of Doug, I just got an e-mail saying Rosalind just gave birth and they are proud parents. Vegigran
Guest guest
Dear Vegigran. I read your message with interest. Yes I am indeed enjoying my vita-mix. I find that when I add greens. (so far I have only been adding Kale as it is what I have found around here lately and it looks so green.) Anyway when I add them to my smoothie I feel it to me much more filling. It seems strange that greens would make one feel more full. But that is the result I keep getting. Because of this I think I will try less nuts. I have already reduced the amount of nuts drastically and I think that trend will continue. Thanks again for your input.
