Guest guest
Swing - Your morning smoothies sound yummy! Let me know how the whole oranges do in the Vita Mix - you will have to make sure that they are organic, right? I guess I would be concerned about all the crap that the growers/stores spray on the outside of them - if they are not organic, will you just wash them well, or how do you get around this issue? Thanks for the feedback. swing bolder <swingbolder wrote: Anyhow, for my morning smoothies I use the juice of 4 oranges, 1 mango, 1 banana and a couple of handfuls of greens (usually kale or spinach). I just got a vitamix though which grinds things up really well so I'm going to start throwing in whole oranges and see how that turns out. swing An e-mail from Joanie May all of your journeys be safe ones. Guest guest
Hi Joanie, I'm just getting back to you on this bc I've been avoiding my inbox for some days now. :-) Anyhow, I haven't tried the whole oranges yet, when I do I'll post results. Also, I would definitely peel them first bc the rind is very bitter-tasting. swing --- Joanie <christmasbaby1956 wrote: > > Swing - Your morning smoothies sound yummy! Guest guest
Peel oranges. The amount of citrus oil on the outside is significant and it is a strong enough toxin to cause upset, particularly over time.
