Hello everyone - we have done our first 36 hour fast and it was a good

experience in which I learned about my body and how it works.

I have always thought that the pain or discomfort in the stomach a while

after a meal is hunger starting again and i know now that it is simply the

stomach contracting after doing it's work of dealing with the food.

Once my stomach stopped contracting the fast was quite pleasant - sometimes

forgetting that i hadn't eaten that day and marvelling that there was no

dizziness or bad effects - my mood was constant and not as i thought it

would be if my blood sugar went low - there really was no reaction that I

could see. Just sipping water throughout the day - not huge quantities

either - just sips.

I wasn't too keen on the running to the bathroom through the night -

reminded me too much of how my bladder was before raw.

Last night I had left the water melon out of the fridge to come to room

temperature and I really thought when I got up that I would be ravenous and

I really had to make myself eat it and to eat properly as the morning went

on as my mood dropped a little through feeling tired.

Feeling very good now - had a few pangs for cooked foods this afternoon -

they are awful those pangs but I had a smoothie with greens and sweet pears

(lovely) and then 2 bananas and it went away.

Enjoying it all folks!!

Love Lynne

Beautiful post Lynne, thanks so much for sharing your experience with all

of us.

An interesting point about fasting arises from your experience. That you

weren't hungry in the morning and " had to make " yourself eat the watermelon,

suggests to me that your system was quite comfortable continuing to fast at

that point. I hope the watermelon was delicious indeed, once you started

eating it!

Best to all,

Elchanan
