Hi Debbie and all,

Well, you snipped a little too much off the front of Dr. Dhillon's sentence

for me to recall his meaning. But in general, triglycerides (currently being

renamed " triaglycerols " ) are fat molecules needed for many functions

throughout the body. They travel via the blood stream and constitute the

primary measure of " blood fat " (similar idea as blood sugar).

From my previous posts, you may recall that elevated blood fat directly

causes most of the so-called " blood-sugar conditions " (chronic fatigue,

diabetes 2, hyper/hypoglycemia, insulin resistance, yeast/candida, etc.) So

while we do need these fats, we need them in moderate quantities, generally

in the range 5-10% of total caloric intake, no more.

Hope this helps.

Elchanan
