Are you saying that combining the salt and vinegar will leach color from the

fabrics?

 

Also, when you use " dl, " do you mean the metric measure deciliter? (Just

being sure this is what you mean.)

I am not sure of the chemical reactions but I have experienced that

when I mix the two together that it does tend to fade the clothes.

 

Yes a dl is a deciliter, sorry I am not sure of the US measurement as

I didn't start this until I moved to Norway. :)

A deciliter is about 0.4 cups (between 1/3 and 1/2), arm-wavingly speaking.
