Guest guest
I have been feeding my now 23 month old daughter high raw all her life (about 95% raw). She doesn't get many grains at all. Mostly fruit (in the form of smoothies or whole fruit cut up), green smoothies (added shortly after Victoria's article came out), blended salads, chopped veggies with nut/seed dip. She also gets about 1/2 an avocado a day. When she was younger, I had to give her a milk supplement and dh and I were giving her raw goats milk. That stopped at about 18 months. She occasionally gets raw goat milk cheese. VERY occasionally. Makes me feel more secure with the whole b12 issue. Anyways, all this to ask a question. For about three months she has been throwing up. She will eat, cough, and then the food will come up and out. I notice that this had been happening after she ate apples and/or pears. Could she be allergic? Also, her cheeks will turn really red after she eats coconut. I have been told that is a sign she has an allergy. So my question is is how can she be allergic to anything when she has been on a high raw diet? Once I removed the apples and pears (yes, they were always organic, no they were not always from the same source) she has not thrown up again. I also noticed the throwing up after bananas, and the red checks after eating oranges. Thanks for any help. Paula
