Shampoo - Dry Skin, Hair

My battle with dry skin:

Before my attention was brought to the ingredient list, I used every

expensive and cheap shampoo/conditioner/soap/body wash I could

find. Nothing helped the flaking. I also used to dye my hair -

talk about toxic. My problem got worse, my hair became brittle,

coarse, and I would lose so much hair in one day I could make a wig

after a week - ok maybe a month. And the itchy scalp, oh that was

torture. I also want to mention – I was eating SAD and was a slave

to the medical industry.

Becoming vegan, stopping the intake of all chemicals (medication,

vitamins, household cleaners, hair dye…) and using " natural "

products, only gave a slight relief. A few days after starting 100%

raw (natural hygiene) - a little over a year ago, the itching

stopped, wow what a freedom, I hadn't had a relief in years. In a

short time my hair loss significantly decreased, however those darn

flakes, and the coarse hair didn't improve. A few months ago I

really went the natural route. I stopped using all of these

products. I had been cleaning my house with lemon, so why couldn't

I do the same to myself. So I tried it. I've come to realize that

cleaning is a mechanical not chemical process.

I can't remember my hair ever being so healthy, and now I have such

shine, no itching, flakes are almost completely gone. I wash with

water every 2-3 days, and once a week I use a whole blended lemon

(see below for info on that). The flakes are so slight, and it

reduces with each wash - this didn't happen to my hair overnight, so

I don't expect a full recovery overnight, but what has happened to

my hair is more than I ever expected. I have realized that a few

things will cause it to flare back up, chlorinated water, forced

heat/air, most nuts, cooked food, over-tired, over-stressed,

chocolate, sugar (sugar in it's natural package - fruit - helps not

hurts), dehydrated foods, & gourmet raw food.

My hair reacts to my digestion, and when I don't treat my body well

my scalp and hair let me know. A poor diet and the use of man-made

cleaners was what put me in this situation to start with, I'm

thankful that now I know, and have been able to do something about

it on my own.

Here is one of the uses of lemon I have listed on my website, I also

give a whole bunch of uses for other fruits & how to clean you hair,

home, body and world naturally.

-put 1 whole lemon in blender, puree. Put lemon in a washcloth &

tie with a rubber band, to keep the contents in the cloth, can use a

cloth bad too. Squeeze juice into a bowl & add water. Dunk hair in

lemon water and message into scalp, leave on hair for a few minutes

or leave on if you are going to be in the sun for natural

highlights. Rub scalp with washcloth before rinsing. No need for

shampoo or conditioner, the lemon will clean the hair & the oil from

the skins will act as a conditioner. Can also be used to wash face

& body.

Be the light that shines in your heart
