Hi everyone,

There have been a couple of posts inquiring about Parkinson's Disease. I

must have deleted the posts accidentally, so this is addressed to no one in

particular. This post is based largely upon input from Dr. Tim Trader.

_____

PART 1: BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PARKINSON'S DISEASE

No one truly understands what causes Parkinson's. However, some studies have

shown significant correlations with pesticides, excess dietary protein, and

stress.

Inside the body, Parkinson's is associated with a progressive, severe

reduction in neurotransmitter production. In particular, the hypothalamus

gland (part of the endocrine system, located within the brain) diminishes

dopamine production. Improper transmission and even interruption of nerve

signals results.

In addition, Parkinson's is associated with impaired or even destroyed

myelin sheaths. Myelin sheaths are protective insulation, made primarily of

fats, covering every nerve in the body. Loss or damage to the myelin sheath

causes nerve signals, which are electrical in nature, to travel at an

infinitesimal fraction of their normal speed and can lead to complete signal

interruption.

From the preceding paragraphs, progressively more severe interruption of

nerve signal transmission results, over time, in increasingly jerky and

" uncontrollable " muscle movement, among other things.

PART 2: HYGIENIC RESPONSE TO PARKINSON'S DISEASE

It is possible to halt the progression of Parkinson's Disease and even to

achieve significant reversal of already existing effects by adopting a very

pure, hygienic approach to diet and to overall lifestyle. However, this

requires a lifelong commitment to change in almost every area of one's life.

Otherwise, any gains will be partially or entirely lost, and rather rapidly.

There is no room for " two steps forward, one step back, " the body simply

will not handle it over time. In all likelihood, neither will the emotions.

The road into Parkinson's was a long one, and the road out may also be long.

Improvement is very gradual and make take place over several years.

Maintenance of these gains requires a lifetime lifestyle commitment.

First, a very pure diet is required. This diet is high in sweet fruits and

tender greens and contains few if any nuts and seeds. Of crucial importance,

there must be ZERO grains, animal foods of any kind, salt, fermented foods,

alcohol, refined sugar, refined fat, high-protein products of any kind. All

the fat in this diet must be of the purest kind, namely that found in

fruits, greens, and a limited quantity of avocado. Dehydrated foods are not

recommended.

NOTE: I realize that fermented foods are popular in some RF circles. But

fermented foods yield alcohol in the system. Alcohol seriously damages the

myelin sheath and impairs dopamine production, among other effects. Also,

the proteins in alcohol interrupt nerve communication.

Consumption of pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, commercial fertilizers,

etc. must be COMPLETELY eliminated, with ZERO tolerance. This means, among

other things, an end to eating in restaurants. It also means a complete

lawn-and-garden and garage cleanup.

Second, fasting, WITH supervision and in the context of a complete solution,

is strongly recommended early in the process and possibly on multiple

occasions. But fasting on day 1 is absolutely not suggested. Other steps

must be firmly in place first.

Third, household toxins must be eliminated to the fullest extent possible.

ALL cleaning chemicals for the house and the body and all cosmetics should

be removed permanently and replaced with the cleanest available

alternatives. The same is true for all lawn and garden chemicals, for

anything kept in the car, and so forth. This is a comprehensive and

permanent cleanup of every area of your life. Often the alternatives are

easy, fun, and may save hundreds of dollars per year in many households.

Fourth, sources of stress must be addressed and coping skills refined.

Because this group emphasizes diet and nutrition, I only mention this point

here. However, please do not confuse brevity with importance. At the very

least, stress is a significantly disruptive trigger in the Parkinson's

process.

Finally, the person must pursue, over time, an increasingly healthy

lifestyle incorporating proper rest, sunshine, fresh air, full hydration of

the body, appropriate physical activity, and so forth.

To be honest, neither Tim nor I has never met anyone, ourselves included,

who could likely create or sustain such a program without help -- education,

coaching and moral support, etc. If anyone would like to pursue this

further, please write back directly to me at <VLinfo

VLinfo.

Best to all,

Elchanan

PS The general approach to healthy living described above applies for anyone

with Multiple Sclerosis, cancer, and most other degenerative " diseases "

where people feel that they have no palatable choices other than to suppress

discomfort until they " go down. "
