As I mentioned before, my 7 YO DD has epilepsy. I emailed Jill as you suggested and she wrote back: *** My book addresses lupus and other autoimmune diseases. I still deal with epilepsy. The diet in the book is not all raw foods - rather a low fat, whole foods, plant based diet - which does include a high percentage of fresh fruits and vegetables. All the best, Jill *** So, her book doesn't have the answers I was hoping for. Can you direct me to more information about what you said regarding the transverse colon. I'd really appreciate anything you can share. _____ Well, I'm sorry to hear that. At one point she had really gotten past the epilepsy, but then perhaps through emotional eating and/or experimentation, triggered it again. I do recall her telling me at one point, some time ago, that she was actually able to relate specific foods to the onset of auras. So you might try writing back to her and just see whether she is willing to talk with you about her experiences. Worth a try. Edgar Cayce used to do readings, which are documented in various publications. He is deceased, but the Edgar Cayce Association for Research and Enlightenment continues and can be reached through <http://www.edgarcayce.org> www.edgarcayce.org. I believe he did some readings dealing with this topic. I have no idea how supportive they might be in helping you locate relevant readings, etc., but at least worth some inquiry. I first learned about this relationship between the digestive system and the frontal lobe behavior from Ray Kent, but I have lost contact with him for some time now. Ray has been one of the 2 or 3 most significant influences in my own learning process about RF and health overall, particularly with respect to developing a clear philosophy and understanding core principles. From what I learned, moving in the direction of monomeals may be quite constructive. I have not written any posts on this topic (monomeals) yet, but the digestive systems of all animals are really designed for simplicity, one food at a time. It is true that, when a carnivore eats the body of its kill, the stomach contents may contain partially digested vegetation (if the kill was an herbivore, as is often the case), and so the carnivore does consume some vegetation in this manner. But throughout Nature, the principle " one food at a time " generally applies. Monomeals allow our system to identify the point of satiation in the mouth, and I know of no other way to accomplish this with any consistency or reliability. Further, for purposes of this discussion, monomeals allow us to begin identifying precisely which foods may trigger seizures or auras, to the extent that foods are involved, and simplifying or eliminating food combinations may of itself eliminate part of the problem. Because almost no one has really approached this issue in an organized manner (at least, no one of whom I am aware), there would be a fair amount of trial-and-error experimentation involved in working toward a solution. However, we can approach the problem in ways that maximize our chances for forward progress. Beyond this, it would be constructive to talk directly, as the exchange of information via email on this topic will rapidly prove overwhelming and inadequate. I would be happy to spend time with you on this if you like, and I will share this post with Dr. Tim Trader, as well. Guest guest
I believe you may be referring to Arnold Ehret, a well-known 19th century advocate of RF with a high-fruit emphasis. His comprehension of the colon as the root of most breakdown in the body was quite insightful. But Ehret did not fully comprehend the role of fiber and the distinctions about alkalinity, so his solutions tended to create improvement but also hyperacidity. Shifting the emphasis to the sweet fruits (bananas, dates, etc.) seems to take care of this shortcoming. I am sorry can not remember which one exactly..I think tho it was Dr. Ehert's..... but they mentioned all diseases come from the colon area.. being backed up and all the feces being putrifying and the gases etc affecting the rest of our bodies... that the over all problem with ANYONE " S health lies within keeping our colonclean.. all diseases are steming from this and we as humans for lack of something else to call the problem give it a name such as epilepsy or cancer or diabeties..etc... and when given a drug to " cure only stiffles the problem further into our system and makes matters worse... covers them and makes them build upon each other making more sicknesses.. and worsening the ones we already have. I am a firm believer of this now... and will truely follow the raw lifestyle... weight gain or loss or not.. my body feels much healthier... and that black cloud is gone from over my head... praying your daughter can find her way away from this and have a happy healthy life also...good luck to you... tncnavarra wrote:Hi Elchanan, I was very interested in your statements regarding epilepsy and the transverse colon.
