I think most everyone is food addict, some are just more aware of it

than others. And addiction comes from the underlying problems you

mention. It's the underlying problems that have to be healed. Any

physical problem like addiction is just a symptom of a mental problem.

Transferring addiction onto food addiction (a relatively harmless one

to most people) is very common in society.
