Guest guest
Okay, I now have permission to share the following: Laurie is Doug Graham's editor. Doug has a new book in progress on his 80/10/10 (carb/protein/fat) approach for optimal success on a RF diet. Unlike most RF teachers, Doug has been a world-class athlete (member of the US men's gymnastics team, among other things) and has worked with top-flight athletes such as Randy Grandison (New York Knicks) and Martina Navratilova (tennis star). I help informally in the background, reviewing, interpreting research, etc. Best to all, Elchanan _____ Previous posts on this thread: Debbie writes: Ok who is Laurie... you speak of her often>>and fondly... Does she have a website?? do you Elchanan...Can you speak more on this project that Laurie is working on? sounds interesting.. does she have a book out? " My friend Laurie does from time to time, as you've seen! :) _____ Thanks for asking!! " Laurie " is Laurie Masters, who introduced me to RF about 8 years ago. We have been very close friends ever since. Laurie is " with " Tim Trader, for those who know him. She is an editor and researcher (among other things) and presently working on an upcoming book by a well-known RF educator. Cannot say more until it's announced, as it's not my project. She will also have some things coming in her own name, or perhaps jointly together, over time. Nothing scheduled yet! But at some point, one or more unnamed people may just give her a gentle kick in the @$%^@$%^. If I go forward with that RF summer camp idea, Laurie (and Tim) would be part of the program faculty, she has a LOT to share in the area of nutrient composition and analysis, among other things. To my knowledge, she has done more work in this area than all the other RF teachers in the country put together, myself included. And she has come up with a couple of fabulous ways of sharing the information, very hands-on, sensory stuff combined with the " information " content. When it's all ready to go, will be a superb program in which to participate. Maybe at the summer camp, if it goes.
