Also, I've had a strange experience with face cream lately. Started

using some cleansing lotion and cream at night that contain alpha

hydroxy acid, and noticed on the nights that I use it I get a

headache. Could I be absorbing this in and could it be causing a

headache?

I know this is not directly " on-topic " to raw food, so if it is more

appropriate, replies can be sent direct instead of posted.

_____

Definitely on-topic from my perspective.

Tess, your question is a great one -- and I would love for you and others to

begin to see that you already know the answer! You already know that we

produce acidity through activity, and that we therefore seek alkalinity in

what we put in our bodies. And while none of us may never know what " alpha

hydroxy acid " is, we all know that no acid can ever be alkalizing inside us.

You have brilliantly observed the connection between the cream and the

headaches. The only thing remaining is for you to trust your own

observations.

Beautiful, healthy skin results from excellent hydration. In other words,

from water, NOT from externally-applied oil.

Our skin is a protective layer, but it is selectively permeable to many

materials, meaning that many substances are absorbed through the skin. So

when we put anything on our skin, we are, in effect, eating through an

alternate pathway.

Do you have any idea what " alpha hydroxy acid " is? Does anyone? I don't. No

one had ever heard of it until a couple of female dermatologists began using

the term to market face stuff.

Can you think of any reason for consciously choosing to eat acid? I can't.

Congratulations on noticing and on " connecting the dots. " Trust yourself.

:):)

Best to all,

Elchanan

E,

Thanks, once again for helping to focus on something which completely

eluded me! I wasn't even connecting the ACID in the cream to the acid

we want to avoid internally! So used to compartmentalizing myself and

the world...

I had the feeling it wasn't good for me, but couldn't put my finger

on why it shouldn't be.

Need to think and dig a little deeper sometimes.
