Guest guest
Hi Folks, I was just reading these posts on the cranberries. Does everyone know that they are tart because they aren't ripe? Cranberries if allowed to ripen are supposedly sweet. I don't think it's such a good idea to eat non-ripe fruit. Personally, I never liked cranberries. The best thing I know to help with infections is to do a water fast. A clean body is much less likely to ever have any kind of infection. Since going raw I haven't taken any antibiotics, even when I had 18 stitches. I didn't get an infection as they predicted I would. I used to get infections in my gums all the time. Now I never get them. A healthy raw diet, minus the dehydrated foods and too much fat in the diet will pretty much kill most problems of infection. Tangy little things they are! but oh how I love them! " INFO @ Vibrant Life " <VLinfo wrote:How do you eat the cranberries? Fresh or frozen or concentrate? etc??? I have a strong affinity to cranberries when I get UTIs because they have always helped clear mine up so quickly. I would hate to give that up. You re removing the soluble fiber that moderates sugar absorption. Your comment " that is to be expected " only applies because you removed the fiber. What I did to curb my UTI was to fast on fresh cranberry juice, fresh black cherry juice and water. I did this for two days and the UTI seemed to go away on its own. The only side effect that I had from this was my blood sugar went out of wack, but then, I am diabetic, so that was to be expected. I hope this helps! I am sure someone with more expertise will be able to give you better advice though. Best wishes, Ravyne Valerie Mills Daly <valdaly wrote: Hi, all, your input and expertise is urgently requested! I believe I am coming down with a urinary tract infection; I've only dealt with this twice before in my life, several years ago, and I would like to avoid the antibiotics if possible. Has anyone any idea what I should do food-wise to deal with this? Would water fasting for a few days help? Just juice? I am just at the beginning, but I'm traveling for the weekend, and may just have to break down and call the doctor tomorrow. ANy help would be appreciated...
