Guest guest
Greetings to you Elchanan, O.k I am not on rawfoods now. I am going to the gym 6 days a week and need the energy, however if I could be on a rawfood diet 100% and have enough energy to work out at least 3 hours a time, then I would be all there. When I was 100% organic and raw food, I would start off the day with 1/2 glass of wheatgrass juice, then at lunchtime I would have a huge salad consisting of spring onions, dandelion greens, radishes, sprouts, tomatoes, watercress, carrots etc, etc. I would feel completely feel and of course have no energy until the salad had been digested. I would then snack later on flaxseed snacks I had made in the dehydrator. I would very much like to go back on rawfoods again, but I am scared I wont have the energy as I love going to the gym and that is what I am fully into at the moment. My sleep patterns are fine, however my back is hurting like anything as I have been sleeping on my back to avoid the shoulder ache that I experience when sleeping on my side and that I get when doing the weights/set class at the gym. I have no absolute stress in my life at the moment, especially since going to the gym. I would love to know of raw foods I could eat that would give me amazing amounts of energy. I was taking diet pills like Thermogenix which helped a lot, but I am not into taking these everyday as I am sure that they are not good for you. The energizing foods would need to be one's that you can get at an ordinary health food shop like Mothers or Trader Joes etc. Thankyou in advance. Guest guest
Ms. Indiana, It sounds like you are severely under eating carbohydrates. No food can give you energy. That is what the body does. It takes fuel from carbohydrates and turns it into energy while you sleep. If you perceive that a food is giving you energy, it's probably a stimulant and actually robbing your energy reserves. Our preferred fuels are the simple sugars found in fruits. I know a professional basketball player who ate raw while competing. His record for banana consumption in a day was over 50 I believe. There are even professional cyclists who can consume up to 14,000 calories a day eating a raw food diet. You just have to know how to do the raw diet properly. To Your Radiant Health, Happiness and Fitness, Roger Haeske P.S. Are you having trouble staying 100% raw? Are you afraid of eating fruit? Are you sick of the time consuming effort of having to juice, sprout, dehydrate and ferment your foods?
