Guest guest
This involves emotional as well as physical factors, so it is very individual, from 10 seconds to years, depending upon the person. I am planning to post some information about emotional eating within the next couple of weeks. How much disapline does it take exactly and how long does it generally take before the cravings stop, one's energy finally goes up and comes back again and did you take any vitamins or supplements when first starting on raw foods?? Guest guest
Hi there, for me the sugar cravings haven't stopped because I haven't stopped eating sugar (one of my final goals). But as far as carb cravings and junk food cravings it took me about a week to get over that. But I still wasn't enjoying the raw foods; that took another 2 weeks to finally enjoy and actually crave. Now I go through cycles where I change what I buy at the store as far as raw foods go (depending on the variety). So if I eat a lot of cauliflower one week the next week I'll switch to cabbage but I always have a variety of foods on hand and I always eat a lot of greens, I never tire of those. I found that trying a lot of salad dressings was the key. I get sick of the same old dressings and I have to have a variety of that too. Now I think I'm in a groove of healthy eating. Personally I love the salad dressing recipe in The Maker's Diet and I'm going to be trying a new recipe pretty soon that calls for tahini and orange zest and juice. If you'd like a copy of that first recipe I'll send it to you. I took more multi vitamins in the beginning but I've backed off a bit recently because I FEEL much better and don't really think to take a vitamin. I hope this helps, Rachel > > How much disapline does it take exactly and how long does it > generally take before the cravings stop, one's energy finally goes > up and comes back again and did you take any vitamins or supplements > when first starting on raw foods?? > > Blessings, > > Indiana. >
