Guest guest
No, it is important that we consume the right quantity and mix of food/nutrients for us. Please refer to the message I just posted, subject " Juicer vs. Blender / Whole vs. fractional foods. " One of the primary motivations for juicing is the notion that we need concentrated doses of certain nutrients. Now I've rarely met anyone who juices who can name any of these magical nutrients (a few can), even authors of books on juicing. So people use terms such as " phytonutrients " or " minerals. " In truth, however, most people have no idea what these terms may actually mean. So it is a case of teachings (whether published or not) being handed down from teacher to teacher to student, without much understanding along the way. This is why a teacher of very high integrity, such as Victoria Boutenko, now teaches people to make green smoothies, rather than to juice. So picture an empty cup and alongside the cup a large pitcher full of water. Now imagine pouring water from the pitcher into the cup. At some point the cup is full. Now you can stop pouring or keep pouring and clean up the floor afterward. At any moment in time, our bodies have a certain capacity to absorb and assimilate/metabolize/eliminate some quantity of any given nutrient or substance. If we force in more than that quantity, it simply backs up in our system and must be removed. But we have exceeded our present capacity for elimination, so now the substance must be stored and removed " later. " Is this where you wish to direct your metabolic activity? You may not feel the difference, at least not at first, but in my experience, people who actually reconnect with their system's innate communication about hunger and thirst, and who therefore actually eat what they need, have the best, most consistent energy and vitality of all. Because of my NDI it is hard for me to convince myself that drinking things other than water (6 to 7 liters a day) is refreshing and good for me. But if it is important I am sure I can figure out something. Love and kisses, Lu
