Guest guest
Hello everyone, I am new to all this but I am VERY interested and trying to learn - it is something like when we (my husband and I) became vegetarians 7 years ago - I floundered at first without recipes and ideas - that is why I am here - to drain all you people of everything you know!! To continue on the food journey and I see the great need for change and it is the next step on the journey of looking after ourselves and the world. I am sprouting seeds and finding them good - trial and error - any info would be good - there is a smell that goes with sprouting (not too pleasant!), isn't there - ir is that me not doing it right?! I have them (the seeds) in the kitchen in a heated propogator as I found it too cold here for them to sprout much (England). I am going to buy a juicer today - possibly that will help us to consume more raw vegatables - any comments or suggestions anyone? Would a " fast " help us to cleanse our bodies or is that outside what the group would talk about? Never ever done a fast but have read about it - anyway - thanks - hopefully will hear from you all Love Lynne xx
Guest guest
HI Lynne, I love juicing. I've started juicing more greens lately to try and help balance out my diet. My favorite basics usually start with carrot juice. Then I'll add spinach or any kind of lettuce. If you're not used to the taste of greens just start with a little at a time and begin to increase. Adding an apple also helps with sweetness and goes well with carrot and greens. Celery will cut the sweetness a bit and goes well all mentioned above. I've done a juice fast in the past which was a nice break for my body, but it's not necessary to cleanse when you're just starting out. For some people just eating raw will provide detox and cleansing, especially at first. If you're still interested in fasting here are some links: http://www.freedomyou.com/fasting_book/juice%20fasting.htm http://www.incredibletruth.org/juice_fasting.htm#Juice%20Fasting Also, if you go to http://www.rawfoodsupport.com/ they have a raw forum where you can look at past posts, there are a lot with people that have the same questions as you. Good luck! Guest guest
I'll drain myself for you, Lynne. The only seeds I eat are raw sunflower seeds. How's life across the pond. You've visited www.FreshNetgroup I'm sure, the England group for raw food eaters. Fasts are a part of this diet, I don't do them but I'm sure they're beneficial for many.
