Guest guest
Of these three, the most useful is probably the first, by Ann Wigmore. Wright's book reflects a lot of misguided thinking about grains. But our species has been on the planet for a couple of million years, give or take, perhaps longer, and grains were only domesticated perhaps 7000 years ago. Grains allow us to build large societies by offering an almost endless supply of calories in a form that can be stored practically forever. But the category is not a match for our biology -- after all, it's grass seed!!! Historically, grains are the food of slaves and slavery or servitude. Grain production REQUIRES organized agriculture, it is labor intensive, water intensive, soil destructive. In contrast, fruit trees, vines, etc. grow wild just fine, throughout much of the world. We can just walk up and pick the fruit (in Nature's design). We are designed (I believe) as sovereign individual beings in the Creation, all interconnected and each unique at the same time. Grain production on any scale requires that we relinquish much of our sovereignty and collectivize ourselves.
