Just wondering. I think it's great to have energy. But it's also nice to be understanding of those who may not move as fast as you do. A little compassion goes a long way. Getting all annoyed because the line at the grocery store doesn't go as fast as you would like, well it seems a little immature to me. Relax. Maybe these people who don't walk as fast as you do have problems that can't be cured by a raw diet. Not everything can be. Raw food is not the end all and be all. Of course it's a good component of a healthy lifestyle but it's not everything. You know maybe these " slow " people are there to teach you a lesson in patience and empathy and compassion. That is, if you could only slow down long enough to do that. I hope you can. I'm sorry my first post on this list seems negative, but this guy's posts, not only on this list but I believe I've seen it on others, with added comments about the supermarket lines, and how it bothers him so much because he is slowed down by others, really rubs me the wrong way. If you want to promote a raw diet and exercise, that is WONDERFUL! I applaud you for that. But maybe you can do it in a more postive way without putting others down because they aren't as advanced and as fast as you are. We all have to start somewhere, don't we? Guest guest
I am very understanding. Come on, everyone gets annoyed by the long waits at check out lines. I patiently wait it out, I'm not really upset. I probably have a lot of immaturity in me, part of why I'm here, to work on my issues. Raw food may not be the end all (spiritual perfection is) but it is the be all for me. I don't know what it would or wouldn't do for someone else. Everything is there to teach me a lesson in patience and empathy and compassion, nothing but growth in these all day long regardless of what I'm doing or how I'm interacting with people is my theme in life. I slow down very well, thank you, I know it's necessary to my own joy. I'm sorry I rubbed you the wrong way but thanks for commenting on my post. I am who I am, I come across however I come across to people, to me I'm always positive. People may not be as advanced as I am, but I show them much love, goodness, empathy, concern, caring and respect for my own growth as a person. And, of course, I know being advanced is only a temporary state. Yes, people have to start somewhere, and I take a very serviceful approach to wherever anyone is at. Guest guest
Dear Cathy, Sorry I got your ire up. I guess you missed the point. It wasn't about getting annoyed at slow people. I could care less. They don't annoy me or bother me in any way. I just go around them. It was actually about the poor state of health and fitness that people are in and they think it is natural. They believe aging is the cause of this. It has nothing to do with aging. I have example after example of this of older people who are in fantastic shape. My grandmother is always telling me how old she is and saying that is the reason for her poor health. And yet my grandfather is 4 years older than her at 80 and he has much better health and fitness than her, by far. I call my grandfather the Moroccan Jack LaLanne. He moves way better than the people in this supermarket because he exercises almost every day. He doesn't have the best diet but he eats minimally and so that helps. I've gotten him to increase his consumption of fruits and vegetables quite a bit. He's a big vitamin guy. I remember a several years back going out to exercise with him and having a hard time keeping up with his walking speed. That was before I was 100% raw. And I had been exercising quite a bit myself. But I've found that just being 100% raw improves ones ability to breathe and move. It gives you more energy and it makes everything function at peak efficiency. In short it makes you want to move and exercise. I feel sorry for the people who suffer in their own bodies as I once did. Actually the raw diet can cure very many things. Or the effect of eating a raw diet allows the body the extra energy and good building materials to heal itself. Arthritis and most diseases of old age simply won't happen to someone on a raw diet. Unless of course they've done too much damage to themselves or if the damage is genetic. I also said exercise and actually the kind of exercise was important. I like to add a little spice to my emails so people will read them. I guess it worked. Being politically correct all the time can make for some boring reading. I find it funny how some people focused on my so called annoyance. I simply said I was impatient; so what. Does that mean I don't have compassion or don't understand. It doesn't mean that at all. I know very well why they move like that and I think it's too bad for them. But it's also their choice. You simply reacted emotionally but not to what I actually said. You added emotions in there that I never said I experienced. To me it's much more like a game, than something to get mad about. I'm too happy to spend a lot of time being mad or upset about things. If you look back you'll never see that I said I was annoyed. You drew that conclusion incorrectly. What about the rest of the email? Did you find it interesting at all. Did you try the exercise program yourself. I highly recommend it. I am just bursting with energy the more I do it. Guest guest
I like it when people's ire gets up, it's something to talk about which beats having nothing to talk about. The mentality of people as they get older is a sad thing. Just being 100% raw has improved my ability to breathe and move. It gives me more energy and it makes everything function at peak efficiency. Guest guest
Hi Cathy, After further reading, it appears you may not have been completely referring to me in your email. Maybe I jumped to conclusions. I'm not really sure at this point. Maybe you were referring to what Rich said as well. I don't remember if he said he was getting angry or annoyed at these supermarket lines. I'm sorry if you weren't referring to my post in your message. This is one of the difficulties with these groups. Things sometimes get confused. The link was mine however. Take care, Roger
