ANNOUNCING THE NEW LIVING LIGHT CENTER

Living Light Culinary Arts Institute, a California business that has

been offering a unique form of healthy raw vegan culinary arts classes

to people from around the world for 7 years, is now building a

multi-purpose center in the historic Company Store, located on the

beautiful Mendocino coast in Fort Bragg , California. The building,

originally constructed in 1887, was fabricated from clear, all-heart

redwood and is considered one of the finest buildings north of San

Francisco.

Store. The new Living Light Center is a 5,000 square-foot educational

facility designed to provide the latest advances in raw culinary

education to individuals, chefs and instructors and will be the home

of Living Light Culinary Arts Institute. The Living Light Center will

also contain Living Light To Go, a deli offering organic raw vegan

cuisine, juices and smoothies; Living Light Marketplace, a retail

store featuring products for healthy living; and Living Light Events,

offering event planning and catering, chef placement services, and

healthy retreats in exotic locations. Click on the picture for more

information on the historic Company Store.

Living Light is dedicated to sharing knowledge about the organic,

vegan, raw-food diet with people who are interested in living a

healthier, more conscious lifestyle. Students travel from all over the

US, Europe, Asia, Australia, South America and other areas of the

world to learn how to prepare this exciting new cuisine that offers

delicious flavor, weight management, and youthful vitality. The center

will be available for authors and leaders of healthy living to share

their experience and knowledge with others in a beautiful environment

that is dedicated solely for this purpose. The three kitchens located

in the complex are 100% vegan and will serve those who want to learn

to prepare great-tasting foods from basic to gourmet. The school will

have closed circuit TV for food-preparation classes and a lecture

facility equipped with an LCD projector for Power Point and other

presentations.

A group of devoted supporters and former Living Light graduates have

organized The Amazing Raw Food Hike-A-Thon to raise funds for the

building of the center, with one LLCAI graduate, Doug Walsh, actually

planning to hike the 3,000 mile Continental Divide Trail on a 100%

raw-food diet. (Visit www.RawHike.com for details about how you can

help support this effort and learn about The Amazing Raw Food

Hike-a-thon.)

Living Light Culinary Arts Institute is universally recognized as the

leading raw vegan culinary school in the world and enrolls an average

of 30 students per session. Currently there are four sessions per year

offered and each session is 3 to 4 weeks in length. Sessions are

designed in segments so students can attend all at once or spread

attendance over the duration of a year. Living Light plans to expand

its curriculum and will also offer classes with other leaders in the

field of healthful living when culinary classes are not in session.

Fort Bragg is Mendocino County's largest coastal community and is

located on Coast Highway 1, about three hours north of San Francisco's

Golden Gate Bridge. Facing the ocean headlands and bordered by the

Noyo Harbor to the south and Ten-Mile Beach to the north, Fort Bragg

offers a wide variety of activities among the beaches, rivers, and

surrounding redwood forests, including beachcombing, picnicking, trail

biking, kayaking, surfing, diving, walking, hiking, and jogging along

the ocean paths. For more information about Fort Bragg and the

Mendocino Coast visit the Chamber of Commerce. www.mendocinocoast.com

The weather in Fort Bragg is delightful. The summers boast pleasant

temperatures, and the winters are cool, never freezing. With its

pristine air, and ocean breezes, Fort Bragg offers the perfect

environment for those who insist on year-round organic produce, floral

gardens, and ecological responsibility.

The Mendocino coast is well known for its excellent lodging,

restaurants, antique shops, boutiques, outdoor festivals, Community

Theater, art galleries, breweries, and nearby vineyards. Within a few

blocks of the school there is a yoga studio, health clubs, a healing

center/spa, health-food store, and even a movie theater. Fort Bragg

also boasts beautiful beaches where one can find solace and connect

with nature. You can choose from a variety of accommodation options in

Fort Bragg, including several tranquil oceanside camping areas. Those

who prefer to set up " camp " in luxury will find everything from budget

rooms to extravagant cottages with ocean views and comfortable, homey

bed & breakfasts--all available year round with advance reservations.

Rental rooms in local vegetarian homes are another option for Living

Light students staying a month or more.
