Guest guest
I agree that Alissa's book and DVD are very good. Although I don't like every recipe, she offers soooo many in her book you are bound to find some that appeal to you. Also, she includes many substitutes for familiar SAD foods for beginners who are struggling with cravings (and to turn SAD folks onto raw!). Of course, I find that with all raw recipes it is important to adjust the recipe to fit my own tastes. She has a variety of recipes--from simple to gourmet. The DVD is clear, easy to watch and shows her going step-by-step through many recipes, how to open young coconut, durian, etc. (This is important for beginners who often get discouraged because they are not sure where to begin.) She offers shopping lists (esp. valuable for beginners) and menu plans to get you started. She has numerous stories and before/after photos from her clients (many who were very sick/obese). She is full of inspiration and has an attitude that really encourages raw eating. I think she is a delight! blessings, Leslie
