Thanks, swing.

I also have Allissa's book and DVD. I felt empowered to create meals

when I watched her DVD, and I enjoyed reading her book. However,

though I've tried several of the recipes, the only one I found tasty

was the marinara sauce with zucchini pasta. I will continue to try

others, but for now, I'm taking a break and looking for other sources.

Would you recommend 1 or 2 of her recipes that you have found

delicious? Maybe I've just made the wrong ones.

Hi, Kim, I know you were asking Swing, but I'll toss out a couple that I really

liked--her Carrot pecan patties, and the falafel with garlic tahini sauce. I

make small patties and eat them wrapped in red or green lettuce. Still not tired

of them! A lot of her sweet recipes are very good and easy, but the savory ones

I play around with a little bit more, using herbs and spices that I like. (As an

example, I don't like cilantro, so I just use plain flat leaf parsley in the

falafel recipe.) Hope you find some more that you like!

Peace, Valerie

Hi Kim,

I really like the:

date nut torte

indian spinach dip (I added way more curry than the

recipe called for)

mock salmon pate

flax crackers

chocolate mousse (I added a lot more almond butter)
