Guest guest
Note to whoever posted the wild rice link below, and to everyone who might be thinking of buying wild rice: The link site says the wild rice is placed in roasting ovens, which mean it is not raw. It also says the rice is harvested with aluminum shovels. Aluminum is not recommended for contact with any food. http://www.mts.net/~bltaylor/WILDRICE.HTM Search presents - Jib Jab's 'Second Term'

Do you know where we can buy good quality organic wild rice? Thanks, Diana of Dewberry Hill I read somewhere in Rainbow Green Live Food Cuisine by Gabriel Cousens that all wild rice is heated too high to be considered raw. Read somewhere else that many grains are that way, including oats, if I remember correctly. All the best, Jennifer
Guest guest
The main issue for me is eating foods that look processed. I don't want any processing done to my food, that's where the heat and the cooking come from to me. So rice and grains don't come in there natural, raw state so they're not food for me. Raw nuts look like they're just taken out of there shell, so I eat them. They look and taste raw even if they are heated out of their shell. I think they stand up better to their process of being deshelled compared to the cutting of grains. rawfood , " Jennifer " <simplify@s...> wrote: > I read somewhere in Rainbow Green Live Food Cuisine by > Gabriel Cousens that all wild rice is heated too high to be > considered raw.
