John,

Who were your emailing who didn't answer?

Essenes were a sect that were faded away in time. THe

New testament says that They ate honey and locusts,

and practiced a very " bare " life, reflecting on the

spiritual aspects of life. I do have a lot more

material, but I would recommend that you get a copy of

the book, " Would the Real Jesus Please Stand " by

Vendyl Jones... You would have to find it used as it

is rare and out of print.

I am not aware of any group now calling themselves the

Essenes after 2000 years, but it is possible. They

can not be a direct desendant group as the others have

been gone for eons.

As for the last supper... Yeshua (Jesus) was hosting

the " LAST SUPPER. " This meal is the last evening meal

just BEFORE Pesach (passover) i.e. Thursday night

where all yeast based breads are eaten and they do eat

meat, drink wine etc. etc.

It is a meal in which all the bread etc in the house

is eaten before the house is ritually cleaned. (In

Orthodox families each shelf in the pantry etc must be

cleaned with a feather, to make sure there are no

crumbs left.)

Notice that they did not ask the ritual questions, nor

leave a seat empty for the prophet. The last supper

is NOT SEDER!

SO He was not offering himself as the lamb AT THAT

MEAL. HE was giving a lesson on torah and the future

offering of himself as the replacement much as Abraham

did with his son.

Some folks do not realize that Abraham's son was a man

grown, who carried his load of wood willingly and laid

down on the altar freely, with complete trust in both

his father and Ha'Shem. Both believed that Ha'Shem

would keep His word on making Abraham's seed via Sarah

like the sands of the seashore, even if that meant

raising him from the dead. A foreshadowing of the

coming event.

They say Jesus required people to be vegetarians. Do

you know where they get this from? The bible says

Jesus gave people fish. The book of Acts has God

telling Paul (in a dream) to kill and eat anything

including pork. This dream is to show Paul not to be

stuck with the Jewish laws.

1. Who says? It does help me keep track of who said

what, when if you can give me a bit more detail. SO

this answer might be too long as I may have covered to

much area.

Sha'ul's (Paul) seeing all those animals, it was that

Torah teaching was to go to all corners of the earth.

Each animal represented a nation. Bears were Russia,

Eagles the USA, Camels Arabia, Cats Eygpt, etc.

It had nothing to do with eating animals. It had

everything to do with the Sadducee (Tz'dukim) and

Pharisee (P'rusim) argument that - what was Torah

teaching should stay among the Hebrew race - In

Judism, we do no do any missionary work, in fact it is

frowned on. We do not seek to convert anyone.

If someone comes in, that's fine. Although the Rabbi's

do much to try to discourage conversion. After the

teaching and " adoption " into the tribe of Israel, that

person is never to be referred to as adopted or

converted.

Sha'ul DID NOT WANT TO DO THIS. He was very proud of

his bloodline and training and the Tallit gadol

(prayer shawl) (not a sheet, poor translation) had to

be lowered THREE times before his stiff neck bent to

Ha'Shem's will.

Yeshua never abrogated the laws of Kashrut. (Which

btw we exceed by eating raw)
