Guest guest
Hi Lane, Thank you for the welcome. Yes, I think that someday I may be 100% raw. I can see that as a reality for myself, as my body and spirit seem to be asking for more and more raw food everyday. I am not pressuring myself to adhere to any ideal, I'm just trusting that I will know the right thing to do at the right time. I have a feeling that 100% is something that will just come about naturally for me, without much thought. I think that suddenly I will just be eating raw foods exclusively most days, and perhaps once in a while having some condiments or steamed foods. I have heard, also, about other's experiences with depression lifting completely on 100% raw. I believe it, because I suffered for many years with horrible depression, and now it is almost completely gone, and this is on 80% raw. Of course, there is more to healing ourselves spiritually and psychologically than what kind of food we eat, but definitely food does have an affect on our psyche. Yes, I think summertime is an excellent time of year to go 100% raw. I don't have any trouble maintaining my raw lifestyle in the colder months, either, but the summer supplies us with so many lovely fruits. I adore watermelon and cantaloupe, but even if I see them in the stores in the wintertime, I can't bring myself to eat them. Only in the summer do they taste so exquisite to me! Happy days and good health to you, Christine
Guest guest
I have heard so many people mention this, that the raw food has lifted their depression, that I think it must be true. Since you are 80 percent raw and your depression is " almost gone " , perhaps 100 percent will do the trick. I found it easier to go all at once, but I go into cold water inch by inch, so I understand both approaches. Good luck Christine.
