Guest guest
Terry, again let me say thank you so much for this recipe! It took only a few minutes to put these together, and they taste wonderful!! I didn't form them as cookies, as the mix was far too crumbly for that (even with 2 additional tablespoons of olive oil). Instead, I pressed it into a glass brownie pan and let them set in the fridge for about 45 minutes. They cut very nicely, and I was able to transfer them into a storage container and put them back in the fridge. Now, if anyone has a raw recipe for those semsame-honey candies you see in Mediterranean markets, I'll be set for life!! Thanks, and take care! Carolyn (C2) - terry Carolyn -- you'd have to make these, but they are super simple. They can be eaten plain or dehydrated ... Carob Cookies ( this recipe has been inspired b absolutely delicious Chocolate Easter Eggs by RawGuru) Process: 1 cup almonds (measure before soaking) 1 cup walnuts, and 1/4 cup olive oil then add: 8 Tbl carob and process till well mixed. Finally add 1/4 cup raisins and 20 dates and process till sticky but still a little crumbly. Form cookies. Keep them in the fridge. Makes about 30 small cookies. Note: At this point they taste like brownies. I put some in the dehydrator overnight, and they are great that way too. More cookie- like. cheers terry
