Guest guest
My friend sent me this info - if you can donate even a few dollars, please go to www.gentlebarn.org or call Ellie Laks at (661) 252-2440. Thanks, Elizabeth Guare Here is Ellie's message: The Gentle Barn desperately needs to raise money to rescue 60 dairy cows from abandonment and death. Wereceived a tip and uncovered a dilapidated California dairy being shut down. During our two-month investigation, we found the cows living in deplorable conditions, sick with pneumonia, pink eye, and skin fungus. They are malnourished and are more or less being left for dead. And the worst part...many of them are pregnant! These cows need immediate medical care and rescue. PLEASE HELP US SAVE THESE BEAUTIFUL LOVING MOMS...THEY HAVE NO PLACE ELSE TO GO! To save these girls, we need to build two barns to shelter them. A private benefactor has pledged to match each donation dollar for dollar, so every donation brings twice the benefit to help these desperate cows. If we can raise $100,000 to build one barn, we will actually be able to build two! With these barns, over time we can save hundreds of unwanted animals who have nowhere else to go and no one else to care! As dairy cows, these poor mothers have never been allowed to raise the babies they give birth to every year. With this rescue we have an opportunity to not only save their lives, and their babies' lives, but we can give them the chance to raise their new babies in safety, health and happiness - just in time for Mother's Day! Please donate online at www.gentlebarn.org, or call (661) 252-2440 for more information or to get involved. With gratitude, Ellie Laks, Founder, The Gentle Barn
