Please join Bay Area Vegetarians for a lovely vegan dinner at Foster City's first and only vegetarian restaurant, Basil Cha Cha Vegetarian Bistro!

We welcome folks who are new to vegan food, new to the Bay Area, or interested in learning more about getting involved and active with Bay Area Vegetarians to join us. As the co-founders of BAVeg, Chris and I especially enjoy socializing with people committed to making a difference through incorporating veganism in their personal lives and in the community around them.

About the restaurant: It’s entirely vegetarian, and the menu clearly distinguishes between what is vegan and vegetarian. Nearly everything on the menu can be made vegan. The spicy items are clearly marked as spicy, too. It is a spin-off of an earlier restaurant in this same space, which was a mixed Thai restaurant with the same owner. The owner moved her original mixed Thai restaurant to another location in the same mall, and opened up this all vegetarian bistro. It's a cute little restaurant.
