2010 Veg Pledge

Hi Bavegers!

 

I'm from Palo Alto and back in high school I was super active with BaVeg.

Fast-forward about 4 years, and now I'm in my final year at Earlham College. I'm

also now the organizer of Students for Animal Rights (StAR), a coalition of

college animal rights groups.

 

We just launched an exciting initiative, our International College Veg Pledge

http://www.vegpledgenow.com It's an effort to help students around the globe

explore a vegetarianism this May. The neat thing about the pledge: you get to

decide how far you want to go. You can go veg one meal a day or for the entire

month. Also, the pledge site calculates out the impact of your pledge on animals

and the environment, so you can see how much of a difference you're making.

While its geared toward college students, you don't have to be college age to

sign the pledge. And omnivores, vegetarians, and vegans are all welcome!
