For the benefit of everyone on the list who is not familiar with these menu items, maybe you could send another email to the list detailing what is veg and what is vegan. Thanks. Hi Everybody, Here is the link for the Authentic Vegetarian feast (Its celebrating Tamil and Malayalam New year which falls on April 14th ) we are organizing in Foster City, on Sat. April 10th, 2010 from 11:30AM onwards, followed by Talent show for kids, games and Bollywood song and dance for everybody to enjoy. Hoping that it will help everybody to decide soon. Kamakshi Kitchen's special New Year Menu: 1. Kasi Halwa-Desset 'Vegetarian', made w Winter melon. Contains milk and butter. 2. Masal Vadai-'Vegan', Lentil spicy fritters. 3. Thayir vadai-'Vegetarian'-Lentil doughnuts fried in oil and soaked in spiced buttermilk. 4. Paruppu w Ghee- Paruppu is Vegan, Ghee is melted butter-Vegetarian. 5. Avial-'Vegetarian'-Made w medley of numerous veggies in coconut, spices and yogurt sauce. 6. Potato Fry - Vegan 7. Cabbage Poduthuval - Vegan ; cabbage cooked with mild spices and coconut 8. Bisibele bath - Vegetarian ; Rice and lentils cooked in spicy sauce with melted butter 9. Olan - Vegan, melons and squash w red beans w chillies and coconut milk. 10. Mysore rasam-Vegetarian 11. Plain rice 12. Vethakuzhambhu-Vegan, spicy tamarind gravy w Garlic and Onions 13. Chips-Vegan 14. Bagala bath-Vegetarian, Yogurt rice 15. Pickles-Vegan, Spicy Lemon pickles to be had as a condiment along w Yogurt rice. 16.
