Guest guest
It is very disappointing to see the SF Public Library feature author, Novella Carpenter. Carpenter not only raises and slaughters pet bunnies, but teaches and promotes this barbaric practice. Just because Carpenter positions herself as "green" it does not make what she does "cruelty -free" or even humane. http://www.sfpl.org/index.php?pg=1000735001 How can her book be humorous and "heart-filled", when it is about killing one of the nation's most intelligent and popular pets? In the past, our organization was asked to speak at the SF public library to educate children and families about the adoption and rescue of companion rabbits. When did the library lose its way in being a caring and well-informed community resource? Your choice to promote and feature Novella Carpenter is misguided and disappointing on many levels. Perhaps there is also room tomorrow evening to have someone represent the value of rabbits as companions and not food? If so, we would be happy to bring loving and sensitive rabbits for the audience to meet. Then they will really have a heart-filled evening. Thank you for your time and consideration of this issue. Guest guest
Hi All, What I had sent was an email to the SF library who hosted Novella Carpenter's book signing. Rabbit meat is growing in popularity and we all need to speak out against this whenever possible. Thanks for your support!
