Cesar Chavez was a vegetarian, we should join his April 10 Parade

YES! Let's do it THIS YEAR!

 

Note that according to the web site, the parade is Saturday, APRIL 10, not on

the 4th.

I contacted the event organizers, asking them if it's too late to organize a

group to walk in the parade. They replied with the message, see below; they

said we can just show up and participate.

 

Is there a Bay Area Vegetarians Banner or something else that we could use?

Something that a group of us could hold in front of us while walking? And if we

had individuals carrying signs with quotes from Cesar Chavez, and one person

pushing the little cart (I have one) filled with " Why Vegan " flyers that we

could hand out ... this would be awesome. I wonder, is there a flyer that

focuses specifically on veganism as a way to fight against violence and world

hunger? The folks coming out for Cesar Chavez Day might be especially

interested in that.

I am definitely going to the parade. Should I set up an evite so we can figure

out who's coming and other logistics?

Parade/Festival. Assemble at 11:00am 19th Street between Guerrero & Dolores St.

Parade starts at 12:00 noon. Bring your friends, signs, banners.
