Michael,

Are you asking about eating lots of spinach, or are you asking about a connection between eating spinach and forming kidney stones?

If the former, then yes, some people have experienced issues that may be traceable, in part, to the oxalic acid in spinach.

If the latter, then no, it is quite unlikely that eating lots of spinach would accelerate calcification to that degree, not as a primary factor. That said, it is certainly the case the overloading the body with acid-forming digestive ash causes leaching of alkaline minerals and deposition of calcifications. But I would suggest looking at this person's diet and lifestyle overall, not just one factor.

I would add that this is not always just a question of WHAT one eats, but of how, when, and in what order ... in other words, how one approaches food combining in an expansive sense. More on that, if you wish.

Best,

Elchanan

Should I be concerned about eating raw spinach daily?

Warm regards, Michael
