Good Earth Grocery

Store in Fairfax,

sells all organic produce. (the only non organic is Thai coconut which

has formaldehyde.)

A lot of their organic produce costs almost the same as

conventional produce. (great

deal)

They had organic Bosc Pears for $1.19 per

lb.

Like most organic Grocery Store, they

offer lots of vegan food. They have a vegan “hot steam table”

I think it’s all all Macro

Foods.

I forgot to check, they used to offer

homemade soy tapioca pudding.

In 1960 we spend 18% of our income on food, 5% on health

care.

Now we spend 9% on food and 16% on Health Care.

Cheap food has a high cost

Yes, a great store! Funky staff (that's a compliment). Great bulk selections for a neighborhood-type store. Beware that the vegetable burrito at the food bar is not vegan, due to the tortilla (!). I did lodge my complaint with the manager. Ask for the optional rice tortilla.

I wouldn't make a special trip from SF, though - Rainbow on coupon day is definitely more in budget.
