Guest guest
Hello all I have chosen 2 snippets from a recent emails on this list. As you can see, some dialogue has not been inclusive towards our fellow vegetarians on this list. Vegan: "Vegans (not dairy-consuming, leather-wearing "vegetarians") do not have to be so careful about offending anybody." Vegetarian: "I can only draw the conclusion that you want to exclude me and people like me from the discussion." Vegans want to share information regarding veganism, many have a similar story: Vegan: "I was a vegetarian for 14 years before I became vegan. I had no knowledge of this or plenty of other things. I wish I had known" But when vegans alienate vegetarians, perhaps we lose the opportunity to share information with them that may lead them to consider veganism: Response received today: "I d because it seemed like most of the email was vegan and/or "us versus them". We deliberately chose the name "Bay Area Vegetarians" to be inclusive of vegans and vegetarians. In case anyone is wondering, I am not the person who d (which suggests that, as I suspected, I was speaking for more than just myself). I appreciate the clarification from Tammy. --Ruchira We deliberately chose the name " Bay Area Vegetarians " to be inclusive of vegans and vegetarians.
