Guest guest
Hi all I wanted to post a follow-up to my last email about vegan cheese. At the same time I got the Daiya and Teese at Rainbow, I also bought the Sheese in smoked cheddar. I am happy to report and recommend this flavor. The manufacturers did not imbue it with olfactory sensations (i.e. it's not smelly), and has that sharp taste that I associate with cheddar. This is a sharp contrast to Teese, which I disliked because while it was smelly it was also (to me) flavorless. Whenever I tend to eat vegan cheeses, I'm not necessarily doing it for the nutritional aspect of eating, more for the pleasured palate sensation. So, with the Sheese, I found it enjoyable just sliced and eaten as a cheese sandwich (between two slices of toasted bread with Earth Balance spread).
