Guest guest
THIS FRIDAY... Join In Defense of Animals to take action on Fur Free Friday— November 27! Wear furry animal masks, ears or hats with ears! Fur Free Friday is THIS FRIDAY, November 27th, when animal advocates around the world will raise their voices in unison to educate shoppers about the real cost of buying fur. The cost is the cold, brutal fact that more than 50 MILLION fur-bearing animals are slaughtered for fashion each year. Bored, cramped and going crazy in filthy cages on fur farms or cruelly trapped and left to suffer, these wild animals need your help now. Friday, November 27th 12 – 3 p.m. Union Square, San Francisco Members of In Defense of Animals (IDA) will be out wearing adorable animal masks on the busiest shopping day of the year encouraging consumers to not buy fur. Pictures of beautiful .foxes, beavers, wolves, and other furbearing animals with the words, " Thank you for not buying fur " will greet shoppers in Union Square. The demonstration is concurrent with demonstrations across the U.S. on the day after Thanksgiving, which has become known, nationally, as Fur Free Friday. Guest guest
if you're in the area, stop by Loving Hut on Stockton St/Vallejo St http://www.bayareaveg.org/ug/display.htm?id=878 they are open Fur Free Friday everyday they have a lunch special 11:30-2pm is their 2 item with rice $5.95 lunch special on THANKSgiving, they will be serving vegan Turkey (first come first serve) price unknown when I called today, call again and ask for Yvonne for the price of the " turkey " I also learned their $5.95 lunch steam table is available 7 days a week, not just weekdays. Portions are not large but good for folks who don't want to pay for overly-large portions and end up overeating.(most Americans entrees are larger than European entrees) The food here is good, clean and all vegan. Almost all workers are vegans. If you are in the area, you should at least check out their vegan propaganda. winnie , " Hope " <hope wrote: > > THIS FRIDAY...
