Guest guest
I am enjoying the recipes in 12-year vegan Alicia Silverstone's " The Kind Diet " - simple, healthy, and really tasty. The recipes take up a little more than half of the book - the rest is devoted to describing the " nasty foods " : meat, dairy, and sugar/processed foods and the " kind foods " : whole grains, new proteins, vegetables, and dessert. Another section is about living the kind life. While some may not like her casual style of writing - interspersed with terms such as " icky " and " meat carries freaky pathogens " - I think she presents her arguments in a way that makes people feel at ease instead of being overwhelmed with jargon. There are ample references for those who need proof of her statements. She writes with care and forgiveness and definitely practices the Kind. check it out, Donna
