Guest guest
my vegan friend invites you to join her to volunteer with POH. YOu get unlimited vegan food after you are done. The food is tasty. (No takeouts what so ever due to health reasons) There's no serving of Thanksgiving dinner available. They prefer long term volunteers. Yes, the serve meat, but you don't have to be part of it. == here's what she wrote: To volunteer, see http://www.openhand.org/pages/join/volunteer/volunteer.html 1. attend 45-min orientation on Wed. 6 pm 2. get TB test 3. attend 45-min training on Sat. 10 am 4. begin volunteering! POH Volunteer Coordinator Sarah Rocklin is a Bauman student. [sunny] (nutrition student)Bauman College is in Berkeley POH HQ on Polk St. does not serve meals to clients; it's strictly food prep & grocery store. Serving meals takes place at Senior Centers but these volunteer positions are rare. Volunteer shift is 2-1/2 hrs, but 1/2 hr includes free lunch so you only work 2 hrs.[sunny] Can be part of Project 20 , to work off your parking tickets.....(only in SF) Doing food prep is chopping veggies... winnie
