Sounds wonderful and I would love to come. Unfortunately it is mid-week,

non-holiday and I work in San Jose and live in San Carlos. So, I will sadly not

be able to join you...

True Gourmet Vegan Banquet Wed. Nov. 18 at 6 p.m.

This coming Wednesday, Nov. 18 at 6 p.m., enjoy an absolutely fabulous vegan

banquet at the Red Victorian, 1665 Haight St., San Francisco. If you were at

last year's Thanksgiving banquet, then you know to expect a great dining

experience again this year.

This is truly a gourmet dining event. The word 'gourmet' is at times used quite

loosely. THIS holiday dinner is TRULY gourmet. It is not merely grains, beans

and veggies or soup. Here is a PARTIAL list of menu items:

1. Beverage: sparkling pomegranate-grape, still concord grape, mineral

water options

2. Antipasti including marinated vegetables, olives and hearts of palm

3. Fresh assorted crudités served with creamy dill dip

4. Salad greens with shitake mushroom vinaigrette

5. Artisanal vegan cheeses and assorted crackers

6. Coconut cabbage salad

7. Avocado awesomeness

8. Artichoke, olive and caper pasta

9. Boursin des l'haricots

10. Cranberry sauce excellante

11. Pumpkin-pecan lasagna (gluten-free)

12. California yams and chestnuts

13. Cornbread sauzage dressing

14. Herbed mushroom gravy

15. Tofurkey

16. Celebration Field Roast

17. Ambrosia

18. Pumpkin chiffon pie

More to follow! It is all hand -crafted, prepared and created by Patricia Allen

Koot, N.E. Patricia has been acclaimed by professional chefs as having

exceptional ability to create taste sensations which far excel other offerings.

This dinner will not only be complete, it will be nutritionally balanced and

totally health-supporting.

This is a grateful Thanksgiving banquet free of dairy, egg, meat, poultry, fish,

and honey. And it is all cooked without oil! For optimal health, the dinner is

prepared without added fats and free of refined sugars.

If you have any food sensitivities/allergies – accommodations will happily be

made with a 48-hour notice. Gluten-free options for a full dinner will also be

available.

This is an all-you-can-eat dinner. And there will be lots and lots of vegan

food. All for a $15.00 minimum donation, which is needed to cover the food

costs for this culinary extravaganza. The chef volunteers her time. This is

the best deal around for a full-course, nutritionally-balanced all-you-can-eat

holiday banquet.

In order to help the chef properly plan for the banquet, it will be important to

timely RSVP. Call 707-774-1904 or email to: info.

Don't miss this once-a-year culinary treat!

I would love to be there!  I will be celebrating handing in a yet-unwritten paper, and I might be bringing my significant other.Cheers,Hannah-“Yes—show me the way up to the country from which the shadows fall,” said Tangle.
