Veg Food news, I spent 2 days gathering info for this email

this is my response about the Ubuntu veg restaurant selling meat..

Conscious Meals, ready to go meals for sale..... all proceeds goes to non profit causes, at $6.99 per meal. at Rainbow

The price is much better price than Souly Vegan's $9.99 meal..which is loosing valuable real estate space in the fridge section.

When I was there 2 days ago, all the Conscious vegan meals were sold out, only 2 reg-veg eggplant meals were left.

I really enjoyed the Shepardless Pie. The meal had a lot of flavor.

Below are comments about Conscious Meals from a vegan friend:

I had two of them - the Hominy Black Bean Chili was pretty good, not great. I'd wouldn't mind eating it again but I'd probably buy an Amy's meal instead. I also had the Chunky Vegetable Paella which wasn't very good at all.

Costco on Coleman St is selling Amy's Lentil and Minestrone Soup by the case. Not sure how much it was, but retail is $3 per can.

Whoopie talks about she won't eat anything served with its entire face on it. (this is a good idea to generate new media materials, with dead faces on a plate or something , sorry If I'm not clear)

=She said we are the only animal that will drink another animal's milk. And she made sure to say , she didn't want to upset the dairy industry (she doesn't want to get sued)

=The View talked about how lobsters scream when it's in a pot. One View talk host screeked like a lobster 6 times. (she's not as smart as Whoopie that's why she was pretty quiet most of the time)

=at 23:11 Whoopie told Al Gore, that she eats meat and does a lot of non eco friend things to the earth.... she asked what can she do....

Al Gore did not mentioned anything about eating meat... basically he said change Government regulations...

This show is not pro-veg, but every little bits of facts presented to the public is a little step forward. Whoopie is not a veg but she is pretty well read on the subject matter.
