For those who can't make Thursday night, JSF is also speaking at Book Passage in

Corte Madera at 1 on Friday. It's free. I found the info on his website:

http://www.eatinganimals.com/.

seating, and there were just 3 seats left in the middle of the Auditorium ... so

I bought all three, hoping to entice some friends to come along! It will be

more fun that way. Total cost was $62.10, so it's $20.70 per ticket.

Everything is Illuminated and Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, sold over

700,000 copies. His first work of nonfiction, Eating Animals, is a quest to

understand meat, how it's produced and the environmental effects of eating

animals. Foer explores all sides of the issue, including breaking into a chicken

farm, and asserts few readers will look at their dinner the same way again.

night.11/5/09 @ 8pm I believe it is called Why Eat Animals. It is the book that

convinced Natalie Portman to become a vegan. This book is non-fiction
