HI Andrew and all,

I am wondering if rabbits will be included in this pamphlet. If they are not, could they be included?

 

There is a HUGE problem with rabbits being sold at the live markets. They are kept in very bleak, cruel conditions, sold either as "food" or as a "pet." They are likely kept and killed in very inhumane ways. They also show up at the San Francisco shelter in horrific abuse/ neglect condition.

 

Rabbits are as intelligent as cats and dogs (some even more so). They learn their names, bond for life with their humans and mates and are extremely sensitive and sentient beings.

 

There is an employee at SF Animal Care and Control who speaks Cantonese. She said she could give it a try to translate it. Please let me know and I can contact her.
