Help get vegan options into schools!!

Hello hello!

 

The Healthy School Lunches campaign that I'm working on with Physicians

Committee for Responsible Medicine has been gaining huge momentum in Congress

and our meetings on the Hill are going REALLY well. It's looking more and more

like getting healthy vegan food and non-dairy beverages into the National School

Lunch Program (NSLP) could actually happen. It's SUPER exciting but we need your

help now, more than ever.

 

We need help gathering signatures in Marin, Contra Costa, San Francisco, and

Alameda counties. You're collecting signatures from people who want to see more

fruits, vegetables, non-dairy vegetarian meal options, and non-dairy beverages

in the NSLP. Signature gathering is rewarding and easy. All you have to do is

find a well traveled area (I'll help you find one!) and then go out with

petitions and collect signatures. I'll walk you through the whole process and

get you all the materials that you need. It's a really satisfying way to spend

an afternoon.

 

If you are willing to devote even one day to this, it will make a huge

difference. This the absolute easiest thing to petition for. You ask people if

they want healthier food in the NSLP and you are rarely told no, most everyone

wants kids to have better choices. Often, you will be going with buddies. It

will not be hard, I promise! And, most importantly, it will help countless

animals!!
