Guest guest
Veggie Moses, would likesome GOOD vegan recipes for the next frugal foodies. The last event, the 4 out of 5 recipes were not good at all. The recipes were very bland. We need good recipes to encourage Moses to have more vegan cooking parties. So far the vegan cooking happens the 2nd Tuesday of the month. If he can find more good vegan recipes maybe he'll be more encouraged to do more vegan nights. The other night is reg veg with dairy and egg. www.frugalfoodies.com pls email me any great recipes and I'll forward it on to him or do you have any old Veg News or any other vegan magazines I can pass to him? == below is a veggie friend's help on my cut and paste problem...sorry it's so long but it might help you in the future Monday, October 19, 2009 8:03 AMsunny_outdoorsRe: veggie Eric tucker opening a new restaurant in Oakland next month + 1=== Just outside the square, Eric Tucker, chef of San Francisco's vegan mecca, Millennium, plans to open Encuentro Cafe and Wine Bar next month. At least three Chez Panisse graduates have started restaurants, and two of them are working on seconds. Nearby, in the Uptown district, Pican and Umland's Ozumo have joined Luka's Taproom and Lounge. "This reminds me a lot of when I moved to San Francisco, to the Mission, in 1989," said San Francisco's B44 chef-partner Daniel Olivella, who recently opened Barlata in Oakland's Temescal neighborhood. "Oakland is a confusing place, and depending on where you go, it can get rough. But I wanted to find a neighborhood that was just coming up, rather than go into a neighborhood like North Beach that already had so many restaurants."2===Just outside the square, Eric Tucker, chef of San Francisco's vegan mecca, Millennium, plans to open Encuentro Cafe and Wine Bar next month. Guest guest
My favorite recipes are in Jennifer Raymond's Peaceful Palate and PETA's Compassionate Cook. Between those two cookbooks, you can find enough vegan recipes for many, many classes. Karen
