Cancelled/feedback requested: Happy Bamboo vegan dinner in San Jose Tuesday 10/13/09 at 7pm

Tonight's dinner is cancelled due to lack of RSVP's. I'm not sure if this is because the event is not on the Bay Area Vegetarians' calendar for some reason...Or do people not want to come out in the rain...?

Attendance has been low lately so I'd like to get feedback, please. Are folks not coming due to financial reasons? Don't like the restaurant? The day or time does not work? Any other reasons?

Happy Bamboo is located just off the 85 freeway at Camden (at Branham) in San Jose. Happy Bamboo's website:

The dinner is open to both veg*ns and non-veg*ns, but please note that, if you will be sitting with the group, only VEGAN food can be ordered. Happy Bamboo is very vegan-friendly, so that will not be difficult.

I would appreciate getting an exact count of who will be attending, so that the staff can be prepared to accommodate us. Please RSVP by 12 noon on the day of the dinner, replying to this email or on the events calendar when it is updated.

If it's possible, please try to carpool to the dinner. If you would like to offer a ride to others or are looking to carpool, you may reply to this message to let folks know, and then please make arrangements off-list.

Also, if you would like to bring home leftovers (though we never seem to have any) or order food to-go, please try to bring a re-usable container.
