Guy is known for his successful Santa Rosa and Sacramento BBQ restaurant, and his famous TV show, cooking, sampling all sort of meat dishes..

it's a big surprise to see him do a veg dish. Why? Cause his sister is vegetarian for ~14 years. Below is a veggie show so "she can be fed". Sorry, don't know when is the next rerun of the show. His secret to make the veggie burger moist is adding aoli (sp) full of maynoise, garlic..etc..

Guy s Big Bite : "Legit Veggie Burger"

Veggie burgers are served with red-bell-pepper hummus and toasted pita chips. Also on the menu: coffee liqueur ice-cream pie.

Also on unwrapped, they were doing a program on collecting old menus. One of the oldest menu is around 1902s, a vegetarian restaurant in LA.

They had menus where all restaurants had meatless Tuesdays and Fridays menus due to war rationing, pretty interesting.... great research for those doing a book on vegetarism.

I hate the food channel, cause I can't eat 99% of what they make, but once in a while you hear good stories. I heard Christina Cooks is back on, any idea when she's on? It will save me on research

Also, if you are doing research, it would be great to have a list of movies/shows that feature vegetarian characters. So far my favorite is Lenny the vegetarian Shark at Shark Tale.. No one told me about it, I just happened to see the show on TV..... You gotta see it
