Guest guest
This is copied from my Craigslist add. Please message me if you are interested. We are looking to fill these rooms sooner rather than later and can probably be flexible with move in dates. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Hello there - Two of the three rooms listed below will be available for rent in our South Berkeley house as early as October 1st. Room 1: $550/mo - This is actually part of the living room that has been partitioned off with furniture and paper screen doors to create a room. It is pretty large in size (approx 17 and 1/2' by 11 and 1/2 " ) and has great light that comes in through the bay windows every morning. If you lived in this room you would share a bathroom with 2 other people. Room 2: $700/mo - This is the master suite and it is hugggeee! It comes with its own bathroom and a walk-in-esque closet. This is the only room with windows facing 3 directions (north, south and east). My favorite feature of this room is the section that could actually be partitoned off with a screen or what not to create a mini office-space. Room 3: $600/mo - This room is in the back of the house and also gets great light in the afternoon. It is also the quietest room in the house in terms of noise level. You would share the bathroom with 2 other people. The size of this room is approximately 10 and 1/2 " by 13 and 1/2 " . About the house: We are a vegan/vegetarian house that is very into food sharing. One of us loves throwing vegan potlucks and is also prone to making delicious baked goods for the house to munch on. So far (we've been here since July) food has been purchased separately but we are open to going co-op style. We enjoy watching movies, playing board games and doing other things together as a house, but we will also respect your private space. The house has a washer and drier and two clothes lines out back. We are the upstairs house in a 2 unit duplex. We have a decent sized backyard with garden space available. Our downstairs neighbors are three friendly girls in their mid-20s (two are vegetarian). There is a small storage shed in the backyard where you would be able to store some small items if needed. Also, we have an indoor bike parking system. The house is located on a tree-lined street in South Berkeley. We are in 3-5 minutes walking distance from Ashby BART and are also near the bus lines on Adeline/MLK, Shattuck and Ashby. The house is located on a safe tree-lined street with neighbors that have lived in the area for years (one of them has been in her house 1955). We are near the Nomad Cafe, The Long Haul and other South Berkeley hot spots. About us (your potential housemates): Mimi is 24. She is the one that loves to host vegan potlucks and bake vegan goodies. Currently she works for various temp agencies in the area but prior to moving out to Berkeley she worked as a chef at a vegan restaurant and as an executive assistant at a small nonprofit in Flagstaff, AZ. She hopes to work for an environmental nonprofit or business at the end of her current run of temping. Her hobbies (besides cooking and baking) include dancing, biking, hiking, arts and crafts in the scrapbooking, photography, making personalized greeting cards way, and most recently rock climbing. She is a Cancer. Jesse is 29. He is a biologist with a side job at REI. His hobbies include hiking, camping, biking, rock climbing, mushroom hunting and generally enjoying the outdoors. He also enjoys games of all kinds and can juggle fire. He has a sewing machine and would love to learn more about sewing and altering clothing. Jesse will hate Mimi for telling you this, but he is a Pisces. Neither of us drink that often and we prefer to keep our space a drug-free environment. We are both vegan and we are looking for vegan or vegetarian housemates. Also, we are a couple. The rooms can be available as early as October 1st. (We can work something out if you need to move in sooner.) Please contact us ASAP if you are interested. Peace *~Mimi*~ Harmon at MLK
